Welcome to the new, blog to cookbook website!  I’m back on the journey of completing these four family cookbooks, and I hope you enjoy reading these as much as I love writing them.

“Yes, We Ate Turtle” is the only cookbook  currently published and available in print.

It is the collaborative effort of aunts, uncles, and cousins, who each spent time on the little farmhouse in Browerville, Minnesota.

This one is dedicated to my Grandma and Grandpa Bednarz, who taught us how to smoke fish, make wine out of dandelions, and treasure the time spent together as a family.

I am in the midst of a final edit on this book, in dedication to my cousin Courtney Bednarz.

“The Barker Bites” is a cookbook  I’m writing that’s dedicated to my wonderful Grandma Barker, and the great memories I have of her and my family as I grew up in Minneapolis. I’m writing this like a food diary, traveling through seasons and holidays.

“Generations” is a cookbook that is not only dedicated to my daughters and their families, but features recipes they have shared which have become favorites in their homes as well.

In its original edit, it was titled “5 Generations” but since that time, 8 grandchildren have been added, so the title may be a work in progress!

I will share a bunch of recipes I have created, from Smoked BBQ Chicken Salad to a yummy dark chocolate Malibu Rum cake.

Too chunky? Too tiny? From dancer to mom of four daughters, back to dancer again, this book will skinnify and make healthy some of the recipes that are my favorites, show how I’ve dealt with a few food allergies, and basically take the readers through ups and downs of a Size 14 to a 0 to trying to be happy at a 6. Realizing though, it isn’t size, it’s health.

I’m in the midst of writing this book, and it will be the last of the four to be completed.
